PATV’s Community Outreach Intern will gain exposure to the inner workings of a Public Access TV station and will further develop their public relations skills by working on a variety of tasks related to station promotion, communications, workshop advertising, event planning, as well as general administrative activities.
Job Responsibilities include:
- 80 hours over ten weeks.
- Assisting in the development and distribution of marketing materials
- Maintaining and creating a new media kit for the station
- Maintaining community/audience mailing list database
- Assisting in community outreach efforts and target/niche marketing for educational workshops and lectures
- Attending/assisting in coordination of community events and fundraisers
- Internet research and writing
Job Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is majoring in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business or related field and is looking to intern for college credit.
- Computer literate, possess excellent written, oral, and communications skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work independently and on a team
