American Cancer Society Hope Lodge

Who We Are

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

What We Do

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers who have to travel for treatment. More than just a roof over their heads, it's a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. Each Hope Lodge community offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening's activities, or unwind in their own private room. There are several ways volunteers can help with daily Hope Lodge operations such as preparing meals, providing entertainment, planning special events and activities, front desk/receptionist assistance,  and improving the facility and grounds.
