Access 2 Independence Of The Eastern Iowa Corridor, Inc.

Who We Are

Access 2 Independence is a Center for Independent Living, a non-profit, non-residential community-based organization run for and by people with disabilities. Over 50% of our Board of Directors and staff identifies as having a disability. Our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to advocate for themselves in order to achieve greater independence and integrated community participation.

What We Do

We envision a world without barriers, where every individual has the freedom to control the direction and quality of their life. We provide five core support services to further the independence of our consumers: peer support, independent living skills training, advocacy, information and referral, and transition for youth ages 14-24 and those in institutions wanting to transition back to community living.
